Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (https://wbznewsradio.iheart.com/) weekdays at 11:55 AM.
The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:
Just a few steps from historic Hah-vard stadium is a revolutionary new building called Continuum that includes an Internet café, game room Trader Joe’s and, to top it all off, a Jewish deli that does not spare the shmaltz!
Named in honor of their paternal patronage, the founders of Franklin Café and the folks behind Tasty Burger have expanded their restaurant repertoire with the help of Korean-by-way-of-Carolina chef Jameson Poll. While one side serves coriander-crusted pastrami sandwiches, curated bagels, and Yemenite matzo ball soup, the main room opens up to offer everything from to salatim and hummus, cod loin, and shakshuka to cauliflower steak, scallops and octopus. So while it may not be kosher, the flavors are legit and the in-menu glossary helps even the newbie order like a gantseh mensch.
The vodka-spirited bar offers a signature bottle by local distillers at Bully Boy as well as local and imported beers and wines and other crafty cocktails (including Hosmer Mountain Sodas and egg creams!).
It may not be Brooklyn, but it isn’t Iowa either!
