While it is great to talk about all the wonderful foods and restaurants that are sustaining and supporting their communities during this difficult time, it is also important to talk about ways people who have been affected can get back on their feet and move forward.

Fortunately, a group of students at the University of Pennsylvania have found an entrepreneurial way to start their own business by helping others get back to business.

Through their new web-based platform, ILostMyJobToCoronavirus.com. these clever Quakers offer a free way to connect people who have been pout out of work with people who have work to do.

After a simple registration process, participants can track employment trends around the world, zero in on regions and job descriptions that suit them, and then apply right on the site! To encourage further community support, the site even offers mentoring and education opportunities and a community-building network element that allows people to connect with others in their field, their area, or with any other commonalities. In this way, participants can develop their skills and find the resources they need while helping others and feeling part of a larger plan and program, instead of a stigmatized individual.

So if you are one of the millions who are out of work due to the COVID epidemic or if you have skills to share or even a job to post, sign up for ILostMyJobToCoronavirus.com and be a bigger part of the solution!
