The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s segments:

With Fenway officially closed to fans, many people have been finding it better to hang around outside than to watch from home. Among these, a fortunate few have been able to snag seats on the new roof deck atop the House of Blues which sits on the other side of Lansdowne Street from the historic park.

The Deck on Lansdowne is scheduled to be open for all home games and also on Thursday through Sunday afternoons and evenings through October. Unfortunately for family fans, it is 21+, but that should not stop most fans from taking in the fun of Fenway while enjoying the food of Chef Kevin Doherty (who used to be a chef for the Patriots and so knows how to feed sports people). For the new venue, Chef has prepared a set of personalized pizzas and popular platters including a Mediterranean mezze and fresh fruit set. There will also be Impossible burgers, daily sandwich specials, and offerings from Fenway’s famed Sausage Guy, as well as beverages from such local heroes as Sam Adams, Harpoon, Jacks Abby, Narragansett, and more.

While the new Deck will be a great place to relax during a game, please remember that it is also a prime home run drop zone. So even if you cannot get the full feel of Fenway, the Deck will get you as close as you can get!
