Cambridge Carnival September 11

Matt regularly appears with Jordan Rich on “Connoisseur’s Corner” which airs on WBZ (http://boston.cbslocal.com) weekdays at 11:55 AM.

The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

Cambridge Carnival

As anyone who has spent time exploring it knows, Cambridge is one of the most interesting and intriguing cities in the world. From the historic educational and intellectual centers to the cutting-edge technological and medical developments, it is a great place to live and work.

As a result, it has become one of the best places to eat as well. From the award-wining BBQ of The Smoke Shop to the Kosher-style deli at Mamalehs to the amazingly authentic Indian fare at Shanti and the trippy tapas at Dali, Cambridge is an international foodie’s paradise!

On September 11 from 12-7, the flavors of Cambridge will take an Afro-Caribbean turn at the 24th annual Cambridge Carnival.

In addition to African and island-based music and art and an interactive parade featuring traditional masks and costumes, Cambridge’s largest festival will feature foods from Goodway Bakery, Bon Me Food Truck, Singh’s Roti Shop, Niki’s Roti, and Golden Canteen.

While every day on the Cambridge food scene is a model UN, the annual Carnival gives locals and visitors alike the chance to fully immerse themselves in the flavors and cultures of the African and Caribbean regions and to have an irie time doing it.
