The following is a “script” for one of Matt’s forthcoming segments:

Harbor Sweets’ Gather Collection

Especially as I grew up on the North Shore, I am a HUGE fan of Salem’s famous Harbor Sweets. Many is the event to which I brought a box of Sweet Sloops and instantly became the hit of the party.

So how happy am I to learn that, like Boston Honey Company and Follow the Honey in Cambridge, Harbor Sweets is doing their part to protect bees and to educate the public about how bees are critical to the environment by releasing a new collection of delicious dark chocolate with subtle notes of honey called “Gather”. The new collection contains six distinctive combinations of two of nature’s greatest (and most healthful) delights- chocolate and honey. From caramelized honey and pomegranate molasses truffles to coconut cluster and sesame crunch dark chocolates, all enrobed in dark chocolate and honey, the Gather collection expands even the palate of long-time Harbor Sweets fans while also opening their eyes to the plight of pollinators and their mouths to a delicious way to help them. Part of the sales of “Gather” go to the Pollinator Partnership, a non-profit organization that advocates for honeybee protection. They are available in a growing hive of Boston-area stores, as well as at www.HarborSweets.com.
